CertainTeed Landmark® PRO shingles are backed by a Lifetime Limited Manufacturer Warranty, including 10-year SureStart™ protection against manufacturing defects. Manufacturer warranty coverage is provided and administered by CertainTeed and is subject to CertainTeed’s applicable terms, conditions, limitations, and transfer requirements.
RSG NEOH provides the original property owner with a 10-year workmanship warranty covering leaks or failures directly caused by improper installation performed by RSG NEOH.
The 10-year workmanship warranty begins on the date RSG NEOH substantially completes the contracted roofing installation and continues for 10 years from that date.
Warranty coverage is limited to the specific area and roofing components affected by a verified workmanship defect. RSG NEOH will, at no charge to the customer, provide the labor and standard replacement materials reasonably necessary to correct the covered defect and restore the affected area to a watertight condition. Replacement of shingles, underlayment, flashing, or related components is limited to what is reasonably necessary to complete the repair.
A localized workmanship defect does not automatically qualify the customer for replacement of an entire roof or roof slope. Full-slope or full-roof replacement is covered only when the verified workmanship defect is sufficiently widespread that it cannot reasonably be corrected through localized repair.
The property owner must notify RSG NEOH of a suspected workmanship issue as soon as reasonably possible after discovery. The claim should include the property address, a description of the issue, and photographs when available.
RSG NEOH must be provided reasonable access to inspect the roof and determine the cause of the reported problem before permanent repairs are performed by another contractor. If RSG NEOH determines that the issue is covered by this workmanship warranty, RSG NEOH will schedule and complete the covered repair at no charge for the necessary labor and standard replacement materials.
Emergency temporary measures reasonably necessary to prevent additional property damage are permitted. Permanent repairs or alterations performed by another contractor without first providing RSG NEOH a reasonable opportunity to inspect and correct the issue may void coverage for the affected area.
The RSG NEOH workmanship warranty is issued to the original property owner and is not automatically transferable upon sale or transfer of the property. Any transfer of the remaining workmanship warranty must be approved in writing by RSG NEOH. CertainTeed’s manufacturer warranty has its own separate transfer requirements.
The RSG NEOH workmanship warranty covers correction of the covered roofing installation defect itself. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, it does not cover consequential, incidental, or indirect damages, including damage to drywall, paint, insulation, flooring, furniture, personal property, loss of use, mold remediation, lost income, or other interior or exterior property damage resulting from a leak. Nothing in this warranty excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Coverage does not include damage or failure caused by storms, wind, hail, ice, falling objects, impact, fire, animals, structural movement or settlement, pre-existing conditions, condensation or ventilation issues, manufacturer defects, normal wear or aging, color variation, owner neglect, or alterations, penetrations, repairs, solar installation, mechanical work, or other work performed by third parties.
Manufacturer defects in CertainTeed products are handled under the applicable CertainTeed manufacturer warranty and are separate from RSG NEOH’s workmanship warranty.
